How To Cover Up Your Botched Brows While You’re Waiting For Them To Grow Back

In the meantime, you can fake the look of full brows. Whilst you’re in the process of growing them back you can help conceal your botched brows to reduce the impact.

When growing out your brows, you should fill in the gaps to discourage yourself from tweezing any new growth as it comes in. It can be daunting to stare at the mirror every day, so try your best to focus your attention elsewhere. You could put on a pretty necklace, bright red lipstick or sport a fringe.

To begin you will need to get yourself a high-quality brow pencil, brow powder and an angled brow brush to fill in your brows. Twist-up brow pencils are easier to use and gives you a professional finish.

1. Take a step back and look at your natural brow shape from a distance.  Determine your eyebrow shape and the colour of your brow.
2. Use a brow pencil and brow powder that is one to two shades lighter than your natural hair colour.
3. Use your own brow shape as a guide to follow a natural, soft line.
4. With your brow pencil follow the natural shape, begin with a soft line under your brow.
5. Do not to be tempted to draw hard lines or lines that arch like rainbows or are completely flat.
6. Use soft hair-like strokes to fill in the sparse areas and use your fingers to blend in the colour.
7. Remember all brows have a similar brow formation. Your brows should always start thicker next to the nose, then gradually arch, getting gradually thinner towards the end.
8. Once you have outlined and filled in your brows with the pencil, you can now use an angled brush to gently apply brow powder to you brows to achieve a bold yet natural look. Note: brow powders will only work if there are brow hairs for it to stick to. If your brows are completely bald, it’s best to stick to a brow pencil until you have a rough line of hairs to work with.
9. You can soften the look and spread the product so that it does not clump together, look darker or lighter in places. This gives it a professional finish.
