Lash Lift Vs Lash Extensions: What’s the Difference?

What Are Lash Lifts?

Lash lifts give you that sultry, wide-awake appearance by giving your natural lashes a boost. Even if you’ve got short lashes, an Ardour Artist can style them so that they stand out more and, when paired with your favourite mascara, look long and full.

The process is surprisingly simple. Your Ardour Artist applies silicone pads and a series of gentle lifting and setting solutions to give your lashes a semi-permanent lift. It is often paired with a lash colour, so that you look like you’re wearing mascara (except that you aren’t!). The procedure is 100% safe, and you’ll love the results.

Your lifted lashes will require practically no maintenance for six to eight weeks, although you need to wait 24 hours after treatment before getting them wet. Once that deadline passes and the curl is firmly set, you can freely enjoy your new look. To get the most out of it, apply serums or another recommended product to hydrate and condition your lashes.

What Are Lash Extensions?

Lash extensions are semi-permanent false eyelashes that are gently attached to your natural ones. After you choose the length, shape, and curl, your Ardour Artist will place silicone patches under your eyes to keep your bottom lashes out of the way. Then they will fuse the extensions to the base of your own lashes one by one.

With the proper aftercare, your lash extensions should last three to five weeks, after which time you will want to schedule a refill. To make them last as long as possible, avoid getting them wet for 24 hours after treatment and refrain from using oil-based cosmetics around your lash line and lids. You should also avoid general mascaras- your Ardour Artist will recommend a product that is formulated specifically for lash extensions.
