Which style suits me best?
It’s not talked about as commonly as the difference between classics, hybrids or volumes, but there are individual sub-styles to these styles of extensions. The variation in extensions comes in the lengths and thicknesses of the extensions, but the way we map out the extensions as well.
To create the most flattering look for you, we can map and style your extensions to do a number of things. We can elongate the eye, open it up and lift, and so much more!
We work with you to decide what is most flattering by assessing your natural lashes, and then taking into consideration your eye’s shape and size, and the shape of your face. Whilst you might just want a bit of extra length, have a think about what else you might want to achieve with your extensions.

What’s the difference?
Classic: If you already have a full set of natural lashes and you are looking for a subtle eye enhancement then classic eyelash extensions might just be what you’re after. With classic eyelash extensions a single eyelash extension is adhered to a single natural eyelash, so a 1-1 ratio is achieved.
Volume: If you don’t have a lot of eyelashes, have sparse lashes, bald spots or perhaps you just want a more dramatic look then volume eyelash extensions would be better suited to you. Unlike classic eyelash extensions, volume eyelashes use a technique whereby multiple extensions are attached to one natural eyelash.
If two eyelash extensions are applied to one natural lash it’s described as 2D, if three eyelash extensions are applied to one natural eyelash then it’s described as 3D etc. Using this custom fan technique, you’ll be able to achieve a fluffier, fuller look.
Hybrid: If you can’t decide between classic or volume eyelash extensions then hybrid eyelash extensions is your perfect combination. With hybrid lash extensions, volume lashes are used to fill in sparse areas whilst classic lash extensions are applied to areas which are already dense. This combination will give you a fuller more textured look! If you already have classic lash extensions but want to step-up to the next level then you should definitely consider hybrid eyelash extensions.
The Simple Secret To Beautiful Lashes
A full set will last up to 4 weeks after application with the lashes on the outer corner often falling off first as they are finer and smaller. The lashes will gradually fall off from general wear and tear in additional to the natural shedding process.
So what’s the secret to beautiful lashes?
Well, all you need to do is follow these simple steps to keep your lashes looking beautiful!
- Avoid touching your lashes and be gentle with our lashes
- Do not wet lashes for the first 24 hours
- Avoid steam from showers, saunas, steam irons, cooking and any other steam producing situations for the first 24 hours
- Brush lashes daily
- Do not use oil based products around or on the eye area
To achieve the best results we need you to follow some quick and easy steps to prepare yourself prior to your appointment
Do’s
- Shower prior to your appointment
- Wear comfortable clothing
- Remove contact lenses
- Turn off your mobile phone (sit back and relax it’s “me” time)
Don’ts
- Wear makeup
- Wear mascara
- Wear face cream
- Wear large dangling earrings
- Curl your lashes on the day of application
How long do they last?
This depends on your natural eyelash growth cycle and how well you look after them. Typically, you can expect a full-set to last between 2-3 weeks before needing a refill. If you want to know exactly how often you should come in to maintain your new look, our friendly Ardour Artist will give recommendations so you can always look and feel your best!
